Weston-Barlow Scores And Standings: Dec. 20

The Barlow and boys basketball teams open South-West Conference play on Tuesday.

Weston, which begin its season with an 85-57 rout of Stamford Academy on Friday, hosts Bethel while Barlow, which went 1-1 in the Danbury Tipoff Tournament is at Brookfield. Both contests get under way at 7 p.m.

The Barlow girls also kick off their league slate on Tuesday as the Falcons are at Lauralton Hall (1-0) and the Trojans visit Newtown.

Barlow (3-0) should get stiffer competition against Lauralton Hall after allowing no more than 25 points in season-opening wins against Kaynor Tech (41-19), Amistad Academy (51-20) and Wilcox Tech (55-25).

The Weston girls (0-2), coming off a 68-39 loss to Bacon Academy on Saturday, are seeking their first win of the season against the Nighthawks (3-0), who have looked impressive in the early going.

Newtown's last win was an 81-61 victory over Bunnell on Dec. 12. Weston opened the season with a 55-41 loss to the Bulldogs.
