The boys basketball team clinched a state tournament berth Tuesday with a 52-49 victory over Pomperaug.

Gabby Holness scored 20 piints and Haili Welton added 18 Tuesday, leading the Pomperaug girls basketball team to a 61-30 victory over Weston.
The potent Panthers, who improved to 15-1, put away the game in the first half when they built a 32-12 lead at the intermission.
Ellie Martin scored 19 points for Weston, nearly two-thirds of the team's total.
Weston suffered its second straight loss and dropped to 6-9, stalling the Trojans' postseason push.

Taylor Auer scored 15 points and Sarah McNiff and Brittney Dumas each added 12 as the Barlow girls basketball team posted a 43-38 victory over New Milford.
It was the sixth straight win for Barlow, which improved to 11-5. McAniff also handed out seven assists and had six steals.
The contest was close all the way with the Falcons taking a 29-27 lead into the final period.
Emily Llerena scored 14 points to lead New Milford.

The Barlow boys basketball team suffered a 69-62 loss to New Milford on Tuesday, falling to 6-9.
Joey Greenspan scored 22 points and grabbed 13 rebounds to lead Barlow. Will Bracken added 12 points for the Falcons.
