Maybe a week off was exactly what the Notre Dame of Fairfield boys basketball team needed.

Dan Upchurch scored 18 points and handed out eight assists Tuesday as the Lancers rolled to a 68-41 victory over .

Jaylon Jennings added 14 points and Arkel Miles grabbed 10 rebounds for Notre Dame, which rebounded from a 59-42 defeat to unbeaten Kolbe Cathedral to improve to 6-4.

Max Molinsky scored 12 points to lead Weston, which suffered its third straight loss and dropped to 6-4.

The Trojans got off to strong start, building a 10-7 lead after the first quarter. However, Notre Dame took control with a 20-6 burst in the second quarter to go up 27-16 at the intermission.

The Lancers then exploded out of the gate in the third quarter, blitzing the Trojans 27-7 to turn the contest into a rout. It was 54-23 after three quarters.

Matthew Gallagher scored 13 points and Daniel Garvin added 12 as the Bethel boys basketball team posted a 47-30 victory over Barlow.

Todd Waterman scored eight points to pace the Falcons (5-6), who played without Jake Lightman, while Barlow's Phil Moriber was held to just two points.

Barlow barely cracked double figures in the first half, trailing 20-11 at the intermission.

The Wildcats then put away the contest by outscoring the Falcons 15-7 in the third quarter to take a 35-18 lead into the final period.

Drew Bartro had another huge game with 17 points and 17 rebounds as the Barlow girls basketball team defeated Bethel 43-37 on Tuesday.

Bartro also blocked five shots for the Falcons, who improved to 7-5.

Sarah McAniff and Taylor Auer each added 10 points for Barlow, which built a 22-16 halftime, then held off a run by the Wildcats in the fourth quarter.

Barlow took a 35-24 lead into the final period when its was outscored 13-8 to make the final outcome closer.

Autumn Forese scored 21 points to pace the Wildcats.

Ellie Martin had a double-double with 14 points and 16 rebounds to lead the Weston girls basketball team to a 34-28 victory over Notre Dame of Fairfield.

Lianna Hursch grabbed 11 rebounds for the Trojans, who improved to 5-6.

Tory Wainwright scored seven points to lead Notre Dame of Fairfield while Bianka Bell grabbed 10 rebounds for the Lancers, who slipped to 4-6 after their third straight loss.

The contest was close throughout with Weston holding a 15-12 lead at the half. The Trojans then extended its slightly to 24-20 after three quarters.
