The boys basketball team fell to unbeaten Immaculate 67-48 in Redding on Friday.

Barlow kept it close in the second quarter, outscoring the Mustangs 13-12 to trail 31-24 at the half.
But a big third quarter -- in which Immaculate outscored the Falcons 21-6 -- allowed the Mustangs to put away the contest. It was 52-30 entering the final quarter.

Drew Bartro just missed a triple-double Friday as the Barlow girls basketball team posted a 37-25 victory over Immaculate.
Bartro finished with 17 points, 10 blocks and nine rebounds for the Falcons, who improved to 8-5 overall and 4-4 in the SWC play.
Barlow got off to a slow start in the low-scoring affair,trailing 6-4 at the first quarter and still trailed 14-12 at the half.
But the turned it around in the second half, outscoring the Mustangs 25-11 to clinch a state tournament berth with their eighth win of the season.
Jenna Mazzucco scored 10 points for Immaculate, which dropped to 1-11 and 0-8.

Christian Keator scored the tiebreaking goal in the third period Saturday as the St. Joseph boys hockey team posted a 2-1 victory over Staples-Weston-Shelton at the Shelton Rinks.
The Cadets, who were coming off a last-minute 4-3 win over Trumbull, improved to 7-4 while the Wreckers dropped to 6-2.
St. Joseph's Matt Julian and Staples-Weston-Shelton's Forrest Savage traded goals in the first period.
Riley Macdonald made 37 saves for Staples while Ron Johnson stopped 15 shots for St. Joseph, which finished with a 39-15 edge in shots
