Redding/Easton won the 10-year-old District One softball title with a 9-8 victory over Darien on Sunday.

Redding/Easton advances to the section one tournament, which begins Wednesday in Bridgeport. Its first opponent will be against the district five winner.

Teams members are Caitlin Colangelo, Kinsey Colby, Scotland Davis,
Catarina Goncalves, Riley Hilford, Vanessa Loo, Taylor Macchia, Paige McElwee, Julia Mullin, Hannah Ota and Molly Rotondo

Kevin Ota is the head coach and Chris Rotondo and James Hilford are the assistants.

-- Redding completed pool play in the 12-year-old District One Little League tournament with a 13-0 victiory over Stamford American on Sunday.

Redding finished in a three-way tie for first place with National Lione and North Stamford at 5-1 in pool A, but was eliminated in a tiebreaker and did not advance to the semifinals.

In Wednesday's semifinal, Lione, the top seed in pool A, takes on pool B runner-up and North Stamford, the second-place finisher in pool A, takes on pool B champion Darien American.
