Nolan Stauffer scored five goals and added three assists Wednesday as the Barlow boys lacrosse team defeated Stonington 13-7 to advance to a state final for the first time since 2007.
The Falcons (16-4), who won a Division II title in 2002, will face St. Joseph in Saturday's final at McMahon (10:30 a,m.). The Cadets advanced with a 15-6 win over top seed Somers.

Mike Mattson added three goals and two assists for Barlow while Liam Rooney finished with three goals.
Weston sophomore Kimmy Guerin won her second girls state Open tennis title in as many years Wednesday at the Yale University courts with a 6-0, 6-1 victory over No. 7 seed Hannah Dahlem of Avon. Guerin has not lost a match - nor even a set - in her first two years at Weston.
