Weston 5, Barlow 4 -- Drew Clevenger and Charlie Ameer combined on a two-hitter for the Trojans. Jimmy Sanzone and Jjay Lane each drove in two runs.

Newtown 11, Weston 9 (SWC semifinals) -- Richie Miller had three goals and Alex Peyreigne made 14 saves for the Trojans, who never led but kept it close throughout. Newtown's only three-goal lead came at 11-8 late in the contest.

New Fairfield 10, Barlow 8 (SWC semifinals)-- -- Nolan Stauffer had three goals and two assists for the Falcons, who defeated the Rebels 17-7 during the regular season.

Girls lacrosse

Barlow 14, New Fairfield 12 (SWC semifinals) River Kynoch had six goals and Amanda El-Haj added four for the Falcons,  who will try to end Newtown's reign of six straight leagues titles in the finals on Friday.

Newtown 20,  Weston 5   (SWC semifinals) -- Hannah Hutchins and  Lindsay Koch each had two goals for the Trojans.

Girls tennis (at Weston)

Weston 4, Barlow 0 (SWC finals) -- The Trojans improved to 16-1 and captured their fifth straight SWC crown. Kimmy Guerin, the defending State Open champion, won her match, 6-0, 6-0, the 16th time this season she has produced the double bagel.
