Weston's Tommy Montelli, a senior at Duke, earned a spot on the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association All-America second-team squad.
A defenseman, Montelli anchored the Blue Devil defense that averaged just over nine goals per game. His career ended on Saturday when the defending national champions were beaten by Maryland 9-4 in the semifinals.

Maryland will face Virginia, a 14-8 winner over Denver in the other semifinal, in the national championship game on Monday afternoon.
Heading into the weekend, Montelli led the team with 26 caused turnovers and ranked second in ground balls with 52. He registered a goal and an assist in Duke's NCAA first-round win over Delaware.

aking the move to the close defense this year after playing longstick midfield the previous three seasons, Montelli registered caused turnovers in 12 games and had multiple forced turnovers in eight of those. He picked up a career-high four caused turnovers in the win over Brown and had three against Virginia in the ACC semifinals.
Montelli corralled at least three ground balls in 10 contests and registered a career-best six against the Cavaliers to go with his four caused turnovers.
For his career, Montelli has played in 69 games, registering eight goals and an assist and 119 ground balls heading into Saturday's contest.
