Riding a four-game winning streak, the Weston football team has the unenviable task of facing UConn-bound Casey Cochran and Masuk's high-powered attack on Friday. Kickoff is 7 p.m. in Monroe.

The Trojans routed Notre Dame of Fairfield 42-6 last week to improve 6-2 and keep alive their state playoff hopes in Class S.

Weston currently holds the eighth and final playoff spot, but it will hard-pressed to contain Masuk's attack as the Panthers are averaging 55.6 points per game, the top mark in state.

Cochran, who rarely plays into the second half, has passed for more than 2,100 yards and 23 touchdowns for Masuk, which is ranked second in the state behind Cheshire and owns a 21-game winning streak.
