Still hoping to make the Class S state playoffs, the Weston football team closes out its regular season on Thursday when the Falcons host Barlow at 10 a.m.
A victory will give the Trojans, who have been off since suffering a 56-14 thumping to second-ranked Masuk on Nov. 11, a record of 7-3.

That might - or might not - be good enough to get Weston into the postseason.
The Trojans enter the final week of the regular season 10th in the Class S rankings, meaning they need to get some help.

Weston needs to climb two spots to get into the eighth spot in order to make the playoffs. Thus, the Trojans have to climb over two teams.
Weston, which has 830 points, will pick up 130 by beating the Falcons (3-6). The Trojans also have a guaranteed 10 points and an additional 40 bonus points available.
Essentially, what the Trojans need is for two of the four teams ahead of them to lose: Rocky Hill (990), Cromwell (940), Haddam-Killingworth (930) and Bloomfield (840).
Even with a loss to Northwest Catholic (8-1), Rocky Hill might still have enough points to finish ahead of Weston.
Cromwell plays Coginchaug (6-3), H-K takes on Valley Regional/Old Lyme (9-0) and Bloomfield faces Fermi (0-9).
Weston's best bet is for H-K to lose to Valley Regional and then hope it would have enough points to jump over Rocky Hill if Rocky Hill loses to Northwest, which is entirely possible.
As far as its bonus games, Weston needs wins from Oxford (vs. Pomperaug), Notre Dame of Fairfield (vs. Immaculate), New Fairfield (vs. New Milford) and Stratford (vs Bunnell).
Oxford and Stratford wins seem unlikely, however. Notre Dame and Fairfield-Immaculate is a battle of winless teams and New Fairfield (3-6) and New Milford (4-5) could go either way.
Assuming a win over Barlow and wins by Notre Dame and New Fairfield, Weston would max out at 990 points.
Barlow, of course, is looking to play spoiler as the Falcons (3-6) have nothing on the line except pride. They are coming off a 27-21 loss to New Fairfield.
Last year, Weston routed Barlow 48-12 to clinch its first winning season since 2002. Now, the Trojans are hoping to take things one step further. Their only previous appearance in the state playoffs came in 1989.
Despite its 3-6 record, the Falcons boast one of the top rushing teams in the state, averaging 326 yards per game, a mark that ranks third in the state.
Sophomore quarterback Jack Shaban, all 150 pounds of him, has rushed for more than 1,000 yards for the Falcons.
