The Barlow field hockey team lost for only the second time this season as the Falcons dropped a 2-1 match to host Norwalk in a non-league contest at Testa Field on Saturday.
The Bears played an aggressive game and had the Falcons on their heels for much of the game. Barlow's normally impenetrable defense showed lapses at times as goalie Samantha Scavo faced constant pressure by the hosts and turned back 10 shots on goal in a solid effort.

Barlow returned to form late in the match as the locals demonstrated superior field play. The Falcons turned the momentum as co-captain Katherine Acocella scored late in the game on a crossing pass from co-captain Samantha Macchio for their only goal.
However, Barlow's attack was cut short as time ran out after the Falcons had taken control.
