The New Milford football used three long passing plays to defeat Barlow 28-9 on Sunday in a game postponed two days.
Sunday's contest took place at Brookfield because New Milford's field was not playable. The result left both teams with 1-2 records.

New Milford took a 13-0 lead in the first quarter, when Connor Shanahan tossed TD passes of 65 yards to Matt Sheehy and 60 yards to Kih Best.
Barlow closed to 13-7 at the half on Jack Shaban's 18-yard TD pass to Alex Lockwood, but the Falcons were held to a safety in the second half.

New Milford made it 21-7 on Valdir Nepomuceno's 1-yard TD run in the third quarter.
After Barlow's safety, the Green Wave completed the scoring on Shanahan's 48-yard TD strike to Alex Kyprianou in the fourth quarter.
Barlow has a short week before hosting Masuk, the state's top-ranked team, on Thursday at 7 p.m.
