The Westport Weston Family Y will stage its second annual Strong Kids Triathlon on Sunday, Sept. 18, at Staples High School in Westport.

The event helps raise awareness and funds for the Y’s annual Strong Kids Campaign, which allows the Y to fulfill its charitable mission.

Children age six through nine will take part in a 75-meter swim, 1 1/4-mile bike race and 1/2-mile run. Those age 10 and older will take on a 150-meter swim, 2 1/2-mile bike ride and 1-mile run. For the 6-and-under set, there’s a 100-meter dash.

Registration and check-in begin at 8 am. All participants receive a T-shirt and a medal.

Registration is $25 per participant through Sept. 14 and $35 from Sept. 15-18 (dash is $10).
