Max Molinsky scored 12 points as theboys basketball team defeated Barlow 40-39 on Tuesday.
Ethan Lee-Tyson added 10 for the Trojans, who improved to 10-8. Weston was coming off a 62-59 victory over previously unbeaten Immaculate.

Weston rallied from a 25-16 halftime deficit to earn the win and prevent Barlow from clinching a state tournament berth. The Trojans outscored the Falcons 16-6 in the third quarter to take a 32-31 lead into the final period.
Nolan Stauffer scored 13 points and Joey Greenspan added nine for the Falcons, who dropped to 7-12.

Barlow needs to beat Kolbe-Cathedral on next Tuesday to secure a state tournament. The Cougars suffered their first loss of the season on Wednesday to Bunnell.

The Barlow girls basketball team tuned up for the SWC playoffs with a 49-31 win over rival Barlow on Tuesday.
Drew Bartro scored 11 points, grabbed nine rebounds and blocked nine shots for the Falcons, who concluded the regular season at 13-7 and 9-6. Brittany Dumas paced Barlow with 13 points and added eight rebounds.
Ellie Martin had 12 points and 10 rebounds for Weston, which finished the regular season at 8-12 and 7-8.
Barlow built a 25-16 halftime lead, then broke the contest by outscoring Weston 14-4 in the final period.

Weston's Emily Savage had a trio of top-three finishes as the Trojans' girls indoor track team tied for second Tuesday in the Class M championships at the Floyd Little Athletic Center in New Haven.
Savage won the pole vault with a leap of 10 feet, 7 inches, besting runner-up Gabriella Attanasio of Suffield (9-06) by more than a foot.
Savage also finished second in the long jump (10-6.50) behind Hillhouse's Brianna Sims (17-00.25) and tied for third in the high jump (4-10).
Hillhouse won the team title with 124 points, well ahead of Weston and Career, who tied for second.
Hillhouse also took the boys crown with 46 points, topping runner-up East Lyme by eight points. Weston finished sixth with 27 points.
