Weston Blanks Stratford Behind Dan Rogers

Sophomore Dan Rogers scored four touchdowns - all in the first half - as Weston blanked Stratford 36-0 Friday in the season opener for both teams.

Rogers scored on short TD runs of 1, 1 and 2 yards and also returned a punt 36 yards for a touchdown as the Trojans built a 29-0 lead at halftime.

Tyler Hassett accounted for the only score in the second half with a 22-yard TD run in the fourth quarter.

Weston has won four of its last five games, dating to the end of last season.
