Weston Brush Fire Set Intentionally: Report
It was the second such brush fire in the area recently, officials said.

WESTON, CT — The brush fire that burned in the wooded area between Tubbs Springs Road and Lords Highway/Stone Cliff Lane on Friday night was intentionally set, according to Weston Fire Department officials.
The half-acre fire was quickly extinguished after firefighters received the report at around 9:30 p.m. on Friday. It was the second such brush fire in the area recently; the first occurred on March 12 at 5:30 p.m.
Investigators have determined that the most recent fire was set intentionally, according to Sgt. Joseph Miceli of the Weston Police Department. Personnel from the Weston Fire Marshal Office, the Connecticut State Fire Marshal Office and the Weston Police Department are conducting the investigation.
