Weston Schools Go Remote After Student Tests Coronavirus Positive

District officials said they learned of the positive case at 8:30 on Sunday night.

WESTON, CT — The school district announced it has shifted to remote learning for Monday, Sept. 21 after a student tested positive for the COVID-19.

District officials said they learned of the positive case at 8:30 on Sunday night.

"We need at least Monday to do additional contact tracing to determine the potential spread of COVID-19 in the district," a statement posted on the district website said.

The schools are coordinating with the Westport/Weston Health District as well as their medical advisor, the notification said.

More information is expected later in the day on Monday.
