Weston Student Named to Honor Roll at Piedmont College

WESTON, CT — Piedmont College has announced that Weston resident Scott Lyon has been named to the Director of Athletics Honor Roll.

In all, 185 student-athletes (49.5 percent) were named to the honor roll, the most in recent memory, according to a news release. Of those, 166 earned a 3.5 grade point average or better and 70 attained a 4.0.

"Balancing academics and athletics can be a challenge for any college student-athlete," said Piedmont Athletic Director Jim Peeples. "The number of athletes on our honor roll is a reflection of our student-centered, personalized educational experience. Our small-college community of professors, advisors, and coaches work hard to help our students succeed in the classroom and beyond."

Lyon plays baseball at the college, located in Demorest, GA.
