Weston Student Threatened to 'Shoot Up School:' Report

WESTON, CT — A Weston middle school student made threats to shoot up their school, News 12 is reporting.
Weston Middle School principal Daniel Doak informed parents in a letter that school officials became aware of the threat on April 30.
Students, who may have known of the threat for as long as three weeks, did not immediately report it as they thought the student accused of making the threats was not serious, administrators say.

School officials contacted the police, who said the student who made the threats did not have access to firearms, according to the report.
Doak noted that at no time were students or school staff at any risk.
