Weston Town Hall Hit By Widespread Service Outage After Thunderstorm

Officials said phone lines, Verizon wireless service and internet access at Town Hall have been affected, but 911 remains operational.

WESTON, CT — A thunderstorm has caused widespread service outages at Weston Town Hall, affecting phone lines, Verizon wireless service and internet access, town officials announced Tuesday.

According to Weston Emergency Management, the outages are impacting multiple Town Hall services as crews work with service providers to restore operations.

Officials said 911 remains fully functional and should be used only for life-threatening emergencies.

"Our crews are working for rapid restoration," the town said in an update, adding that emergency personnel have been mobilized to address the outage as quickly as possible.

No estimate for when service will be restored was immediately available.
