Weston Track Star Passed Away Saturday: Reports
The Weston and Syracuse communities are mourning the loss of a student and runner who passed away Saturday.
WESTON, CT — An accomplished track and field athlete from Weston and Syracuse University senior passed away Saturday, according to multiple reports including the Daily Orange.
In an email to the Syracuse University community, school officials informed students that David Stankiewicz had passed away Saturday.
The Daily Orange reports that the cause of Stankiewicz's death was not specified in the email.

Stankiewicz graduated from Weston High School in 2013, and was an All-State and All New England runner for the Trojans, reports Track and Field news outlet MileSplit.
He was also a member of Syracuse University's track team during his freshman and sophomore year.
