Sixties Music, Sixties Cars, Food, and Family Fun!

In celebration of this year’s historic 50th anniversary of Woodstock, the Weston Historical Society will host Westonstock, a day-long musical festival with fun for the entire family, including a 60’s car show, on Saturday, September 14 (with rain date of Sunday, September 15) from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Coley Homestead, 104 Weston Road, Weston CT. Tickets are available online at www.westonhistoricalsociety.or... or at the door. Prices are $20 for members; $25 for non-members; kids ages 6-18 are $5 & kids under 5 are free.

Westonstock will feature six hours of continuous live music including performances by actual Woodstock musicians Ira and Maxine Stone along with the Bar Car Band, The Cinnamon Girls, and Old School Revue and the Saugatuck Horns, a classic 60’s R&B band in vintage 60’s attire. They will be joined by numerous guest artists of note from the Woodstock era throughout the day and evening. The audience will be treated to early folk, Beatles/British Invasion, Motown, 60’s Soul, R&B, psychedelic, and soft and hard rock.

There will also be a collection of vintage cars on display. Children’s activities will feature face painting, and arts and crafts. A 60’s music trivia contest will keep everyone on their toes when not dancing to 60’s music. Local food trucks will be on site including Dough Girls, Greek Style Grill, and Jr’s Food Truck. Local retail vendors include Champagne Tea, Jennifer Barron Jewelry, Ilse Coffee, Kardamas Olive Oil, New England Hemp Farm, Second Sight Herbal Products, and Weston Beadworks. Guests are invited to bring a lawn chair, kick back and spend the day.

The Weston Historical Society would like to thank its lead sponsor Tito’s Vodka and event sponsor Teed and Brown along with its annual sponsors: Fairfield County Bank, Cohen and Wolf P.C., and KMS Partners at Compass for making Westonstock possible.
