1 Injured In 3-Vehicle Crash In Westport: UPDATE
Firefighters had to extract one of the drivers from their vehicle, according to authorities.

WESTPORT, CT — A driver was injured and had to be extracted from their vehicle Monday night following a multi-vehicle crash on Bridge Street in Westport, according to Assistant Fire Chief Philip Hessberger.
The crash occurred just after 6 p.m. in front of 40 Bridge St., and no other injuries were reported.
Patch reached out to Westport police for additional details of the crash, but information was not available.

"This crash is still under investigation," Westport Police Lt. Eric Woods told Patch. "As of now, the report is incomplete."
Three vehicles were involved in the crash, one of which was parked at the time, reported the Westport News.

Firefighters used hydraulic extrication tools to remove the trapped driver, who was then taken to an area hospital by Westport Emergency Medical Service personnel.
The extent of the patient's injuries is not known.
