1 Injured In Crash Of 2 Tractor Trailer Trucks On I-95 In Westport: FD
The crash occurred Tuesday night just before midnight.

WESTPORT, CT — One driver suffered unknown injuries Tuesday night in a crash of two tractor trailer trucks southbound on Interstate 95 in Westport, according to fire officials.
The crash occurred just before midnight between Exits 18 and 17, and "one of the tractor trailers had jackknifed and suffered a ruptured fuel tank," said Westport Assistant Fire Chief Jeffrey Gootman.
Firefighters treated the injured driver at the scene before the patient was taken by Westport EMS to an area hospital for further treatment. The extent of the driver's injuries was not known Wednesday.

To mitigate and contain the fuel spill, firefighters spread out absorbing materials, and the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection responded to the scene to supervise the cleanup of the spill.
The crash remains under investigation by state police.
