WESTPORT, CT — One person suffered non-life threatening injuries Thursday night in a one-car rollover crash on Cross Highway at the intersection of Wildwood Lane in Westport, according to fire officials.

The crash occurred at about 10:15 p.m. and is under investigation by Westport police.

"The vehicle appeared to have exited the road, struck a utility pole, re-entered the roadway, and ended up on its roof," said Westport Assistant Fire Chief Matthew Cohen in a statement.

A portion of Cross Highway was temporarily closed as a result of the crash while crews repaired the pole, which was sheared off at its base, according to Cohen.
