2 Killed In Tragic CT Motorcycle Crash

Two people died at the scene following a three-vehicle crash Wednesday night.

TORRINGTON, CT - A man and a woman were killed in a motorcycle crash Wednesday night on Goshen Road. The Hartford Courant reported the couple was traveling east around 6:30 p.m. when their motorcycle struck two vehicles traveling west near University Drive.

Torrington police identified them as Danielle Dubois, 36, and Christopher Massey, 36, both of Torrington, according to WTNH.

The motorcycle was traveling eastbound and crossed the yellow line to the westbound lanes. The driver of a pickup truck attempted to avoid the crash by swerving but the motorcycle struck its rear quarter panel then hit a van head-on.

Both motorcycle riders were ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene.

No drivers in the other vehicles were injured, according to The Courant.

Goshen Road was closed for several hours following the crash and reopened Thursday morning.

The medical examiner's office will perform an autopsy to determine the cause of death, WFSB reported. The drivers of the other vehicles are reportedly cooperating with police.
