29th Annual Swim Across the Sound Memorial Service to Honor Loved Ones Lost to Cancer
The annual service brings the community together to remember loved ones lost to cancer through music, reflection and shared remembrance.
Families, friends and community members are invited to the 29th Annual Swim Across the Sound Memorial Service on Sunday, Aug. 2, at Captain's Cove Seaport in Bridgeport.
The annual service celebrates the lives of those lost to cancer through inspirational readings, musical tributes and the reading of names by Hartford HealthCare leaders, physicians, nurses, staff and volunteers.
New this year, attendees are invited to visit a Memory Wall, where they can display a copy of a favorite photo and write a personal message in honor of a loved one. Notecards and pens will be provided.

The service is free and open to all. Registration begins at 8 a.m., followed by the memorial service from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.
Those unable to attend may still dedicate a flower to be cast into Long Island Sound in memory of their loved one.
