3 Westport Schools Among Best High Schools In CT: New Rankings

WESTPORT, CT — Three high schools in Westport are considered among the best in Connecticut, according to new rankings of the top public and private high schools in the state.

Niche looked at more than 123,000 public and private schools in the nation to compile its lists of the top 50 in each state, and Westport's three were in the top 20 for either public or private high schools.

Among the state's public high schools, Staples High School was ranked #2 behind New Canaan High School. Rounding out the top five public high schools in the state were Darien High School (#3), Greenwich High School (#4), Avon High School (#5).

As for private high schools, Westport's Pierrepont School was #6, while Greens Farms Academy came in at #17.

The state's top five private high schools, according to Niche, are Choate Rosemary Hall (#1), The Hotchkiss School (#2), The Loomis Chaffee School (#3), Hopkins School ((#4), and The Taft School (#5).

Niche’s rankings combine federal and state data, school statistics, and over 3 million reviews from students, parents, and teachers to evaluate schools beyond test scores.
