30 Staples Students Earn National Merit Commended Honors
A certificate from the school and National Merit Scholarship Corporation was presented to the following students.

WESTPORT, CT — Staples High School Principal James D’Amico announced Thursday that 30 Staples seniors have been named as Commended Students in the 2019 National Merit Scholarship Program. According to a news release, a certificate from the school and National Merit Scholarship Corporation was presented to the following students who represent almost every academic area of interest and involvement in student activities offered at Staples High School.
In addition to being excellent students, this group includes musicians, athletes, journalists, artists, actors, volunteers and activists. The students are:
