5 Westport Students Receive Awards In Literary Competition

Five Westport middle school students were award recipients in the 40th Annual Trumbull Arts Festival Literary Competition.

WESTPORT, CT — Five students from Coleytown Middle School were award recipients in the 40th Annual Trumbull Arts Festival Literary Competition.

According to a news release, Lilly Weisz was awarded honorable mention in the Fiction category for "Stock Photos," Tyler Darden wa awarded second place for "Flora" and Maeve McGovern was awarded first place for "The Omey Island Races."

In the Poetry category, Molly Lynch took second place for "Next Generation." In Non-Fiction, Hannh Ceisler won honorable mention for "The Human Impact."

The students were honored in an awards ceremony on Sept. 16 at the Trumbull Library.
