$50,000 Winning CT POWERBALL Ticket Sold In Westport

A Weston resident is the lucky winner, according to the Connecticut Lottery.

WESTPORT, CT — A Weston resident is $50,000 richer this week after claiming a winning POWERBALL lottery ticket she purchased in Westport, the Connecticut Lottery announced.

On Monday, Rachelle Glick claimed the winning ticket she purchased at Westport Amoco on the Post Road East.

The national game costs at least $2 per ticket, and has an increasing jackpot in the millions. To win the jackpot, a player must match five "white ball" numbers between 1 and 69, and one "red ball" number between 1 and 26.

For a player to win $50,000, they must match four white ball numbers and the red ball number; the odds for doing so are 1 in 913,129, according to lottery officials.
