50th Annual Westport Fine Arts Festival This Weekend
The police department has issued a traffic advisory for the popular event, which is hosted each year by the Westport Downtown Association.
WESTPORT, CT — The 50th Annual Westport Fine Arts Festival is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday in downtown Westport, "a highlight for collectors and residents" from throughout the region, according to the Westport Downtown Association, which hosts the popular event.
The festival runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days, and "features a premier roster of regional, national and international fine artists exhibiting in a variety of media categories - including painting, photography, sculpture, fiber, printmaking, mixed media, glass, ceramics, jewelry, wood, graphics and print making."
To allow for setup and the event itself, the Westport Police Department has issued the following traffic and road closure advisory, which will run from 6 a.m. on Friday to 10 p.m. on Monday:

- Westport Downtown Association will be holding their Fine Arts Festival this weekend (05/26-05/29). This festival will necessitate the closure of Main Street between Post Road East and Avery Place and Elm Street between Main Street and Bedford Square from 6:00 AM on Friday 05/26 through 10:00 PM on Sunday 05/29. These road closures will result in traffic congestion downtown and increased pedestrian traffic. The motoring public are urged to use caution while driving through Downtown Westport this weekend.
