6 Injured In Westport Crash
The "jaws of life" were used to extricate a trapped person from a vehicle.
WESTPORT, CT — Six people were injured and one had to be extricated following a crash around noon Fridya on the Sherwood Island Connector near the transfer station.
Three vehicles were involved in the crash and all went off the roadway, said Assistant Fire Chief Jeff Gootman.
The jaws of life were used to free a trapped occupant. In total six people were treated at the scene and sent to medical facilities by Westport EMS.
