In this free event open to the public, join our stroke experts - Chair of the Department of Emergency Care at St. Vincent's Medical Center and board certified emergency medicine physician, Dr. Steven Valassis, Chair of the Department of Neurology and the Stroke Program Director, Dr. Kelly Matmati, Registered Dietician, Elizabeth Barclay, Physical Therapist, Kelly Roberts, and board-certified Neurologic Physical Therapist, Carolyn Hashemi, DPT, as they discuss types of strokes, risk factors, signs and symptoms, treatment options available.

There will be a live healthy diet presentation and demonstration as well as a stroke rehabilitation discussion. We will be joined by a previous patient and stroke survivor, who will also share their journey.
A free Stroke Screening will be available, identifying risk factors, blood pressure and a cholesterol check. Light refreshments and a box lunch will be provided.
