Alleged Boots Shoplifter Nabbed: Cops

The suspect, from Norwalk, was arrested on a warrant in connection with the January incident.

WESTPORT, CT - Andre Fowler, 22, of Norwalk, was arrested on Feb. 25 on a warrant for fourth-degree larceny in connection with the January theft of three pairs of boots from the Theory store on Main Street, according to Westport police.

Westport Now reports that Fowler and an accomplice shoplifted the boots after distracting store employees.

“The employees noticed the boots were missing after the suspects left the store, so they reviewed the in store video footage,” Westport Police Lt. David Farrell told Westport Now. “Store employees notified the surrounding stores of the theft, and description of the suspects.”

Fowler was released after posting a $1,500 bond and is scheduled to appear in Norwalk Superior Court on March 8.
