Altercation At Greenwich Hospital Leads To Arrest Of Westport Man: Police
The incident occurred Wednesday night in an elevator.

GREENWICH, CT — A fight in an elevator at Greenwich Hospital Wednesday night led to the arrest of a 46-year-old Westport man on a charge of second-degree breach of peace, according to Greenwich police.
The incident occurred just before 9 p.m. when an off-duty Greenwich police officer saw three people engaged in a "physical altercation" in an elevator when the door was open.
"The Officer separated the parties," wrote Greenwich police in a statement. "Several additional Officers responded to the scene. The on-scene investigation revealed that the Offender attempted to strike the Victim several times while the Victim's adult son was attempting to keep the two parties separated."

Arrested was Steve Cola, of Wilton Road, who was released after posting a $1,000 bond.
The circumstances of how the fight started, and how or whether Cola knows the victim, were not disclosed. He was scheduled to appear in Stamford Superior Court on Aug. 17.
