WESTPORT, CT — Westport residents are being invited to a public forum next week as the town moves toward the final stages of its Parks Master Plan process. The Westport Parks and Recreation Department, working with BL Companies, will hold the third public forum on at 6:30 p.m. on May 11 in the Westport Town Hall Auditorium, 110 Myrtle Ave.
According to officials, the session is the final step in a broader planning effort for the town’s parks and recreation system. The process has included community workshops, stakeholder meetings and other public engagement opportunities.
During the forum, BL Companies will present updates to the draft Parks Master Plan. Those updates will include feedback gathered from earlier meetings and surveys, according to the announcement. The presentation also is expected to outline potential recommendations for the future of Westport’s parks and recreational facilities.
The town is encouraging community members to attend the meeting, hear the presentation and offer input on the draft plan. According to officials, public participation remains a key part of shaping a long-term vision for Westport’s parks system that reflects community needs and priorities.

The town said presentation materials from the May 11 forum will also be posted afterward on the Parks and Recreation Department website.
The meeting gives residents another chance to weigh in before the plan advances beyond the public forum stage. The focus of the session will be on updated draft materials, feedback already collected, and possible recommendations tied to the future of local parks and recreation facilities.
