WESTPORT, CT — A 34-year-old Manchester woman was arrested on a warrant this week by Westport police, after authorities said she gave a "THC-infused cannabis gummy" to a minor last year.
Kimberly Champlin was taken into custody by Connecticut State Police on Tuesday and was turned over to Westport. She was charged with a single felony count of risk of injury to a child.
According to Westport police, the case stems from October 2025 through a report received by the Connecticut Department of Children and Families.
"The report alleged that Kimberly Champlin had provided a juvenile with a THC-infused cannabis gummy," said Westport Police Lt. Anthony Prezioso in a statement. "This incident occurred at Saint Vincent’s Behavioral Health located at 47 Long Lots Road. A subsequent police investigation corroborated the DCF report."
Westport police obtained a warrant for Champlin's arrest, which led to her apprehension this week by state police Troop F.
Champlin posted bond on bail of $10,000, and is scheduled to appear in Stamford Superior Court on May 29.
