WESTPORT, CT — The Westport Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a public hearing at 6 p.m. on July 20 to consider Text Amendment #871 to the town's zoning regulations.
According to Planning and Zoning Director Michelle Perillie, the proposed amendment would revise Section 32-18, Historic Residential Structure (HRS), by increasing the eligibility threshold for principal structures from 1800 to 1830 for the subdivision incentive.
The proposal also would eliminate eligibility for certain historic structures built between 1800 and 1940 to qualify for the subdivision incentive based on exceptional historic or architectural significance.
The hearing will be conducted remotely via Zoom. It also will be livestreamed on the Town of Westport's website and available on Optimum Government Access Channel 79. Click here to view the agenda with the meeting's information.
Written comments may be submitted to PandZ@westportct.gov by noon on the day of the meeting for distribution to Planning and Zoning Commission members before the hearing. Comments received after noon will be added to the public record and distributed on the next business day.
