WESTPORT, CT — Forty-three new businesses registered with the state in Westport in July, according to the Connecticut Business Registry.

Among the more unique entries was Maria M Prosthetics and Orthotics LLC, which registered under the surgical appliance and supplies manufacturing category at 333 Post Road West on July 13.

Finance and investment filings were common, including Coralline Capital Partners LLC, Steleo LLC and Jeff Sharpe Capital Management Limited Liability Company, all registered under portfolio management or financial intermediation categories. Retail and personal care rounded out the month, with Laundry Assets 1 LLC opening as a coin-operated laundry and Off Beat Hair Studio LLC registering as a beauty salon.

State registration marks when a business files paperwork with the Secretary of the State, not necessarily when it opens to customers, so some of these ventures may not yet be operating at the addresses listed.
