WESTPORT, CT — Cardale Jones, the former Ohio State National Championship quarterback, has joined the coaching staff of the Staples High School football team, the Wreckers announced on X.
Jones, who currently works for CBS Sports, will serve as the team's quarterback coach.
"Coach Jones led Ohio State to a National Championship as starting QB, before playing four seasons in the NFL," the team wrote.
The new role marks Jones' first foray into coaching, Sports Illustrated reported.
At CBS Sports, Jones is a college football analyst.
In addition to his four seasons in the NFL, Jones also played in the former XFL and the Canadian Football League.
