A limited number of free PIN-code gun safes will be available to pistol permit holders while supplies last. Gun shop owners are not eligible to receive the safes.
Gift cards will be provided in exchange for eligible, operable firearms while supplies last.
From the Newtown Action Alliance Foundation, which is sponsoring the event:
Firearms must be transported to the event in the trunk of a vehicle.
Nonworking firearms, black-powder weapons, flare guns, ghost guns, pellet and BB guns, ammunition and magazine clips are not eligible for gift cards but may still be turned in.
Gift cards will be available only for eligible, operable firearms and while supplies last. The gun safe giveaway is also subject to availability and eligibility requirements.
