WESTPORT, CT — The annual Westoberfest, a craft beer and family fall festival, is scheduled for 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 3, at Sigrid Schultz Plaza & Elm Street in downtown Westport. It will take place rain or shine.
The popular event, hosted by the Westport Downtown Association, brings together craft beer, live music, food, and more.
More than 50 local and regional beers from more than 20 breweries will be available to taste. Must be 21 or older to participate in the beer-tasting, which is ticketed.
A traffic advisory has been issued for the event.
"Portions of the downtown area will be closed — Elm Street, Church Lane, and southbound traffic on Main Street — from
12 p.m. to 6 p.m.," Westport Police Lt. Sereniti Dobson wrote in a statement. "If you're planning to drive through downtown Westport that afternoon, you'll want to allow extra time or use an alternate route."
