A safer ride starts with a helmet

As e-bike use continues to grow, so does the importance of wearing a helmet and practicing safe riding habits. St. Vincent's Medical Center is helping local riders protect themselves with a free helmet giveaway on Saturday, Oct. 10, from 2–4 p.m., in partnership with the City of Bridgeport.

Whether you're commuting, exercising or riding for fun, wearing a helmet can help reduce the risk of serious head injury. At least 150 free helmets will be available while supplies last, thanks to the generosity of a donor through the St. Vincent's Philanthropy Department.
