WESTPORT, CT — The Westport Library will host its Big Fall Book Sale from Friday, Nov. 6, through Monday, Nov. 9, featuring thousands of used books, DVDs, CDs, vinyl records and other items.
The sale will take place on the library's main level at 20 Jesup Road. Admission is free during regular sale hours.
Shoppers can browse more than 50 categories of fiction and nonfiction books for children and adults, including antiquarian books, vintage children's books and other noteworthy selections.
Additional merchandise will include DVDs, CDs, vintage vinyl records, ephemera, jigsaw puzzles and framed artwork ranging from small desktop pieces to larger wall displays.
Book Sale Hours
The four-day sale will follow this schedule:
During Monday's bag sale, shoppers can fill a Westport Book Sale logo bag for $10 or bring an equivalent-sized bag of their own for $8. Individual books will also be available at half price.
Early Access Tickets Available Oct. 21
Shoppers interested in getting an early start can purchase tickets for a special preview session Friday, Nov. 6, from 8:45 a.m. to noon.
Admission during those hours will be limited to patrons who purchase Early Access tickets in advance.
Tickets will be available online beginning Wednesday, Oct. 21. Additional information and a link to purchase tickets will be posted at westportbooksaleventures.org/our-events.
Special Book Deals
The sale will also feature a separate "Fiction for $1" room, offering hardcover fiction, mysteries, science fiction, fantasy, young adult fiction and paperback novels for $1 each.
Books in that room will remain priced at $1 on Sunday rather than receiving an additional half-price discount.
A list of featured specials will also be available on the book sale's website. Organizers plan to update the list periodically in the weeks leading up to the event.
