If you are planning on attending Friday night’s football game between the Fairfield Ludlowe and Staples-Westport football teams, be prepared to have your backpacks searched and don’t bring any beverages, because they will be confiscated, according to the Fairfield Citizen.
The game begins at 7 p.m. at Taft Field in Fairfield.
The Citizen reports that Fairfield Ludlowe Housemaster Greg Hatzis informed students and parents of the heightened security that starts this week in his recent Headmaster’s Report.

Hatzis told the Citizen that the decision comes from the “larger picture” of increased safety and security at a range of school athletic events and social functions.
