Bank Robbed in Westport Thursday

The Main Street branch of Chase Bank was hit.

WESTPORT, CT - The Chase Bank at 184 Main St. was robbed of an undetermined amount of cash Thursday morning, according to Westport police.

The incident occurred at about 11 a.m., and though the suspect said he had a weapon, he never displayed it.

"Responding Officers determined that a middle aged white male entered bank and handed the teller a note demanding money," wrote Westport Police Lt. David Farrell in a statement. "The suspect indicated he had a weapon, but did not display one."

After grabbing the cash, the suspect fled south on Main Street on foot.
