BlumShapiro Elects Westport Resident As Partner
A Westport resident has been elected by BlumShapiro as a new partner.

WEST HARTFORD, CT – BlumShapiro, the largest regional business advisory firm based in New England with offices in Connecticut, Massachusetts and Rhode Island, has announced the election of a new partner, James. J. Krouse, CPA, MST.
Krouse is a partner in BlumShapiro’s Tax Department in Shelton, according to a release. He joined the firm in 2017 from Grant Thornton, where he served as tax director.
Krouse has over 20 years of experience, serving clients in multiple industries, including privately held businesses, high net worth individuals and family offices. He is well-versed in assisting clients with tax controversies, specialized transactions and estate, gifts and charitable wealth planning.

“James is a strategic and results-driven tax partner who at the same times invests in his clients’ needs to deepen his understanding of their business and personal needs,” Chief Executive Officer of BlumShapiro Joseph A. Kask said in a release. “James is a great example of the passion we bring to unlock the potential of all our clients.”

Krouse is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants and New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants. He received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Washington State University and his Master of Science in Taxation from Golden Gate University.
Krouse is a resident of Westport.
