I agree with the above statement 100%. Our bodies were meant to be used in a variety of ways and be able to do almost anything asked of them. Run, sprint, squat, throw, stretch, lift, etc. This is the basis behind functional fitness — and something I truly believe. I refer to all my members or clients as athletes. Some are discovering their athletic background for the first time. Others are re-discovering it. It doesn’t matter. Once you understand this concept, your view on fitness may change.
