Our Unitarian Universalist community in Westport welcomes all to join our joyful service this Sunday, at this time of rebirth and rejuvenation. Rev. Carlton will preside over the service and share his reflections on "Embracing Possibility."
This music-filled Easter Sunday service reflects the joy of renewal and the cycles of life. We welcome our guest string quartet as they join our choirs for an uplifting celebration of spring and its wonders. The service will be followed by a special fellowship hour that weaves in some of the deliciousness and mindfulness of Passover, which members and friends are also observing this week. All are always welcome to our Unitarian Universalist services at UU Westport, offered each Sunday at 10 AM, both in person and live-streamed online. Services usually include a time of reflection/prayer/meditation; wonderful music; readings; and a homily or sermon to lend insight into our world and how we interact with it and with each other. The Rev. Carlton E. Smith presides over our time together that includes participation from multiple congregants, guests, and friends. Music Director Micah Krajca leads our choirs. Separate children's programming and nursery care is available during the service, 10-11:15AM. Dress code is as you feel comfortable.
As always, our e-newsletter SOUNDINGS has all the information one needs to find out what's going on in our congregation. Contact the office at 203.227.7205 x 10 if you have specific questions.
UU Westport is a diverse and welcoming religious community, free of creed and dogma, and open to people of all backgrounds and beliefs. We welcome all who are in search of a non-judgmental, loving, safe community to come together to explore what it means to be human and alive in today's world, and how we can best serve one another and those around us, near and far.
Our services take place in UU Westport's iconic sanctuary building, a glorious architectural masterpiece of mid-century modernist Victor Lundy (1923-2024). The building has just undergone a major renovation and is spectacular with its soaring rooflines, sparkling glass walls, set in the woods with the beauty of nature all around it.
